August is all about two things: harvesting and preparation.
There are lots of things to harvest: onions, cucumbers, courgettes, peas, paprika, beans,salad,...
And if you want to have some vegetables during winter, you should definitely plant now leek, sprouts, cabbage.
You should also:
- remove the bottom leaves of your tomato plants to optimize circulation and sunlight.
- cut the stems that gave raspberries this year and support the new stems from this year.
- sow your forget-me-nots, viola's and dianthus
Oh, and you have until the end of august to trim your hedges for the final time this year.
That way they will be ready for the winter to come. Good luck!
